DESCRIPTION:The Holiday Season is just around the corner! This year\, Home of the Sparrow's Holiday Gift Program offers three great ways for individuals\, groups\, and businesses to give for a cause and help change the lives of homeless women and children! Thank you for your continuous support!\n\n \n\nOur greatest need this year is the Gift of Hope. One spark of Hope can change the journey of a mother or child for the rest of their life. Please visit HOSparrow.org/DONATE to leave your Gift of Hope donation\, and help change the lives of homeless women and children in\n\nour community. If you prefer\, checks can be made out to Home of the Sparrow and mailed\n\nto 4209 W Shamrock Ln\, Unite B\, McHenry\, IL 60050.\n\n \n\nGift of Opportunity: By donating items needed on our Shelter Wish List\, you are providing the women and children with basic needs as they move into the shelter or move out into their own housing. This gives them the Opportunity to focus their time on achieving self-sufficiency\, knowing that their basic needs are met. The Shelter Wish List can be found at: www.H?OSparrow.org/how-to-help/shelter-wish-list. Please call 815-271-5444 to schedule a drop off for donations at our office. Please wear a face mask when visiting our office.\n\n \n\nGift of Support: By adopting a mother or child in our program\, you will provide much needed Support during the holidays. Due to COVID-19 and social distancing restrictions\, we are asking donors to purchase Gift Cards for each family member this year\, which will allow the women to shop for their children online. You can either mail the gift cards or drop them off at our office listed below. Please wear a mask when visiting our office. We also offer curbside drop-off.\n\n \n\nCOVID-19 has really impacted Home of the Sparrow and the women and children that we serve. With so many people losing their jobs and homes\, the need for our services continues to grow. While the world around us is on pause\, homelessness does not stop. Neither does the work we do to provide families with shelter\, affordable housing\, case management\, counseling and services when they need it most. This past fiscal year ending June 30\, 2020\, Home of the Sparrow served 575 women and children and provided referrals to over 1400 individuals!
