The Alexian Brothers Hospital Network (ABHN) is a subsidiary of Alexian Brothers Health System (ABHS), a diversified Catholic healthcare system based in Arlington Heights, Illinois. ABHS is governed by the Congregation of Alexian Brothers, a lay, apostolic Catholic order with an 800-year history of carrying out the healing ministry of Jesus Christ in the tradition of the Roman Catholic Church under the guidance of the ABHS, which oversees the operations of all Alexian Brothers eldercare facilities, hospitals, rehabilitation services, clinics and community-based healthcare ministries in Illinois, Missouri, Tennessee and Wisconsin. ABHN is comprised of four hospitals which serve the two million residents of Chicago's growing northwest suburbs. The 800-bed Alexian Brothers Hospital Network includes two acute care hospitals - Alexian Brothers Medical Center, Elk Grove Village, Illinois, and St. Alexius Medical Center, Hoffman Estates, Illinois, as well as two specialty hospitals - Alexian Brothers Behavioral Health Hospital in Hoffman Estates, and the Alexian Rehabilitation located on ABHN's Elk Grove Village campus.
