ROBERT BUCHAR, film director and producer Robert Buchar, the producer of the documentary film The Collapse of Communism: The Untold Story, will be at the Andrew Breitbart Freedom Center at The Heartland Institute the evening of Wednesday, September 28. We will show excerpts from his 107-minute film, and Buchar – who defected from Czechoslovakia in 1980 – will discuss with the audience how he made the film and the current state of global communism.While making The Collapse of Communism, Buchar interviewed dozens of prominent defectors from the Soviet Union, historians, political scientists (including Angelo Codevilla, the keynote speaker at The Heartland Institute’s anniversary benefit dinner in 2015), and Robert Gates, the former U.S. secretary of defense, to uncover the true story of how and why the Soviet Union fell. He discovered evidence that revealed the so-called "collapse of communism" in the Soviet Union was really nothing more than a false story designed and propagated to distract the world from the continued rule of Russia by its criminal class.
