The Arlingtones chapter of The Barbershop Harmony Society received its charter in 1952, over half a century ago. It became one of the largest barbershop choruses in Illinois, peaking in 1976 at 134 members. Several members from that time are still with us. With the formation of new clubs and the increasing mobility of society in general, our membership is currently 30 hard core members. We would like to builf to about 40 enthusiastic members who enjoy singing four part a cappella music and the camaraderie of a compatible group.
We hope you are. If you are, please feel welcome to attend our practices and our ''afterglow''.We meet each Monday night at 7:00 PM. Meetings except for the second Monday of each month are held at the American Legion Hall, 121 North Douglas (on the corner of Douglas and Miner Streets), in Arlington Heights. On the second Monday, we meet at the Grace Lutheran Church 1624 E. Euclid Ave. Mt. Prospect (Northwest corner of Euclid and Wolf Rd.) Park in the back lot and use back door.
