Connections to Care

About Us

Connections to Care is a nonprofit organization that provides seniors with transportation to their critical medical/dental appointments in the NW suburbs. Often without family or friends to assist, these older adults rely on Connections to Care to help them maintain their health and remain a part of the community.
Volunteer drivers utilize their own time, car, and gas to provide these older adults with necessary services such as physician and dentist visits, specialty services, lab, x-ray, PT, eye appointments, audiology needs and more.
Dedicated volunteer drivers not only provide round-trip service, they also offer compassion, caring and a feeling of comfort. For most of the passengers, Connections to Care has become much more than a ride, it is a connection. When our services are not available, many of our riders delay or forgo their medical treatments because of cost or logistics.
Over the past 17 years we have provided seniors with over 36,000 rides.

Unfortunately, we are still the best kept secret for many in the community and we are on a mission to get the word out about our services and recruit more volunteers.
